Konica Minolta introduces the bizhub 225i for small to medium-sized teams and workgroups in companies. The new communication hub is a true A3 monochrome multifunctional peripheral (MFP) that prints and copies at 22 ppm in A4. Even in small offices there is always room for the bizhub 225i with its compact footprint. The bizhub 225i is easy to use and its wide range of functions allows it to handle almost any everyday print job, leaving every employee more time for more value-adding tasks. The bizhub 225i supports teams with a flexible paper capacity that can be increased as required to a maximum of 1,350 sheets, avoiding loss of time due to frequent interruptions to restock paper. The compact printer provides colour scanning as standard. It sends scans to a variety of destinations such as e-mail, FTP and SMB and also offers TWAIN scanning, so full network integration is available. With the standard scan-to-USB function, any last-minute document or presentation requirement can easily be met by scanning the information straight from the bizhub 225i to a USB stick.

Thanks to its environmental design and the integrated Simitri HD toner with biomass, the bizhub 225i meets the highest eco standards. It is certified with the voluntary Blue Angel mark in Germany and the TEC value would fulfil the new Energy Star 3.0 criteria.

Konica Minolta made a successful start with the introduction of the bizhub i-Series a year ago (April 2019). According to Infosource, the bizhub C250i of the bizhub i-Series was the best-selling device on the market for A3 multi-functional peripherals (MFPs), with more than 28,000 units purchased¹. In addition to rapid market success, the new bizhub i-Series has attracted attention for its exceptional, user-friendly design. At the international Red Dot Awards 2020, the bizhub C250i, including the bizhub C300i/C360i as well as the bizhub C3350i with the bizhub C4050i, received the prestigious Red Dot in the category “Product Design 2020” for their high quality and outstanding design. This success underlines Konica Minolta’s strength in shaping and leading this market with its next-generation bizhub i-Series. Especially in light of the current developments with COVID-19, it is important to keep personal contacts to a minimum and to reduce risks of infection. Konica Minolta therefore emphasises that the majority of its MFPs – including all devices from the bizhub i-Series – can be operated remotely. It is hence possible to operate these devices, which have been designed to be used by multiple employees, without the user ever having to even touch the control panel. This can be done, for example, by using computers, mobile telephones or tablets.
